Stylus is a melbourne breakbeat party that’s always been about the local scene, local DJs and friendly up for it crowd. Those who have graced the floor at our previous parties can attest to the rockin’ atmosphere.

Rob has been rolling dnb/breakbeat for over 12 years, also have been playing breaks, funk and classic hip hop since the late 90′s… in the past 5 years he has performed with stanton warriors, deekline and wizard, aquasky, krafty kuts, tayo, soul of man, adam freeland, ali b, meat katie, freestylers, klaus h hill, freq nasty, skool of thought, tipper, smithminger, alex patterson, hyper, phil k, ransom, two dogs, vinroc, craze, j red, shyfx, concord dawn, pendulum, goldie, friction, grooverider, patife and watkiss, ss, twisted indervidual, bukem and conrad, aphrodite, higher contrast, killa kella, mpk, jps, and the bad bwoy roller patch!!! the list goes on… 

He’s also just about ready to unleash his productoin on the world… Rob has lived in new york, london, byron bay, sydney, hobart and has settled down in melbourne and absolutely loving it!… he also do graff art, paint, makes clothes and writes music.

Ben Stacey

Ben Stacey has had a lifelong obsession with music. Almost ten years with punk rock outfit Bodyjar, journeys through countless genres of music and the investment of 3/4 of a decade standing behind turntables has left him with a penchant for dark rooms and a serious vinyl addiction. 

Ben is known for taking his audiences on a voyage that twists smoothly through all styles over many layers, creating a mood and atmosphere that is considered fresh. He’s earned a strong reputation for technical skill and the ability to move a floor with unique tunes, which attract a wide ranging audience. 

Ben has run many club nights over the years and currently runs and plays DISS YOU (Workshop) and NO STANDING (Revolver) along with assorted beats and breaks parties in Melbourne and larger events with 33 1/3. 

He’s played alongside international acts such as the Beastie Boys, Beck, Stanton Warriors, B.L.I.M, Ils, Plump Dj’s, Ransom, DJ Regal, Tayo, Phil K, Brewster B, Girl Talk, Katalyst, Recloose, Trevor Whatever, Soup & Nickodemus.
